Accountant's desk with financial statements and a calculator

Services

What we do, and how it works.

Four services, three ways to work with us. Clear scope, transparent pricing, no billing surprises.

How we think about the work

One firm, so nothing contradicts

Tax, books, forecasting, and audit are the same conversation seen from four angles. We keep them under one roof so your numbers always tell one consistent story.

Plenty of owners stitch together a bookkeeper here, a tax preparer there, and an advisor somewhere else — and then spend their time reconciling three sets of numbers that never quite agree. We built Rowan & Vale to be the opposite. Your bookkeeping feeds your tax plan, your tax plan feeds your forecast, and the CPA who signs your return is the one who already knows why last quarter looked the way it did.

The way we price reflects the way we work. There are no surprise hourly invoices and no charge for picking up the phone. Most clients work with us on a flat monthly fee that covers the ongoing work, with anything unusual quoted in writing before it starts. The numbers below are starting points, not quotes — the real figure comes once we understand your entity, your volume, and where you want to go.

Services

Four ways we help

Most clients combine a couple of these. We'll recommend the right mix after our first call.

Tax preparation & planning

Lower what you owe, legally — all year, not just in April.

Filing is the easy part; the savings come from planning ahead. We prepare accurate business and personal returns, then work through the year on entity structure, credits, deductions, and estimates so April holds no surprises. Every position is documented and defensible.

  • Business & personal returns
  • Year-round tax planning
  • Entity & S-corp analysis
  • Quarterly estimates

Bookkeeping

Clean, current books you can actually trust.

Books that fall behind cost you real decisions. We reconcile every account monthly, keep your chart of accounts tied to how your business actually runs, and deliver a clear monthly report — so you always know your cash position and your true margins.

  • Monthly reconciliation
  • Chart of accounts setup
  • A/P & A/R tracking
  • Monthly financial reports

CFO advisory

The financial brain of a bigger company, part-time.

When the decisions get bigger than a bookkeeper can answer but a full-time CFO is too much, we step in. Rolling cash forecasts, real budgets tied to your sales plan, pricing analysis, and a steady hand in lender and board conversations.

  • 13-week cash forecast
  • Budgeting & planning
  • Pricing & margin analysis
  • Lender & board support

Audit & assurance

Financials that stand up to any scrutiny.

Whether a lender, a grant, or a board requires it, we deliver independent audits, reviews, and compilations that hold up. Just as often we do the readiness work first — cleaning and documenting your records so the audit itself is quick and clean.

  • Financial-statement audits
  • Reviews & compilations
  • Audit-readiness prep
  • Internal-control review

Plans

Three ways to work together

Pricing is indicative — every engagement is quoted precisely once we understand your entity and volume.

Process

From first call to filed

Every engagement follows the same four steps. There are no surprises and no April scrambles — just steady, visible work you're part of the whole way through.

  1. 01

    Discover

A free consultation about your business, your entity, and what's keeping you up at night. We review a recent return and your books, then tell you plainly where the risks and the opportunities are — before you commit to anything.

  2. 02

    Onboard

We take over the books, connect your accounts securely, and clean up whatever needs cleaning. You get a written engagement letter with a fixed scope and a fixed monthly fee, so you know exactly what you're paying and what you're getting.

  3. 03

    Manage

Month by month we reconcile, report, and plan. You get numbers you can read and a standing call to talk through them. When something changes — a big purchase, a new hire, a strong quarter — we adjust the tax plan before year-end, not after.

  4. 04

    File & advise

Come tax time there's no scramble, because the work is already done. We file accurate returns on time, walk you through the result, and set the plan for the year ahead. The relationship keeps going long after the return is signed.

Questions

Before you get in touch

No — you can start with us any time. We'll request your prior returns and books from your current accountant, review the last open years for anything worth amending, and take over the ongoing work cleanly. Most transitions take a week or two and you won't miss a deadline.

Ready when you are

Tell us about your business and we'll come back with a proposal and a flat monthly fee.
